Easy 6 Ingredient Healthy Chicken Roaster

Chicken is definitely one of my main sources of protein since its so easy to cook and prepare. There are so many ways you can cook chicken, and it’s very affordable. So it’s a win-win.

Ready to host some guests or just looking to meal prep some meals? This is great for you! Chicken roasters are a great source of protein. What’s also great is that there is a lot of meat you can get from the roaster so plenty of leftovers. I have made this on many occasions and my husband LOVES it. Any time we see a roaster on sale, we buy one because its that easy to prepare.

All you will need is 1 chicken roaster (my recipe I used a 7lb roaster so plan accordingly), extra virgin olive oil, oregano, parsley, basil and thyme.  I also use a copper non stick grate with a pan underneath when I cook my roaster.

What’s great is that this option will help provide some healthy fats to your diet without sacrificing protein. This recipe is nutritious and healthy and will help you reach your fitness goals. Also, there is no salt added to this dish so that’s a win as well.

My chicken roaster recipe is so easy to put together, and only 5 minutes of prep time. Cook time 110 minutes, but remember you can basically leave it alone and let it cook itself.

Here you go….super easy and delicious protein option.

Ingredients:

1 Chicken Roaster (7lbs)
1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon of Thyme
1 Tablespoon of Basil
1 Tablespoon of Parsley
1 Tablespoon of Oregano

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.


2. Rub your roaster with the olive oil. Add your spices. Make sure to remove any stuffing from the roaster.


3. Place your roaster in the oven for 20 minutes. I place mine on a non stick grate with a pan underneath to catch juices. Once 20 minutes has passed, turn the oven down to 400 degrees. Cook for another 70-80 minutes or until cooked.
