Why I Eat Oatmeal for Breakfast Every Day
If you know me, you all know I LOVE oatmeal. I enjoy the old-fashioned oats or the quick oats (no flavoring) with fresh fruit and cinnamon. My parents still to this day say “you’re going to turn into oatmeal,” haha. Oatmeal is one of the healthiest grains you can consume and is gluten-free.
I eat oatmeal every day one because I enjoy the taste and how warm it is. Two because it aids in some energy to pick me up in the morning. Three because of the health benefits of eating oatmeal in the morning. Four because it’s so important to eat breakfast.
My Love for Oatmeal:
I love the texture of oatmeal and how delicious it tastes with some fresh blackberries or blueberries. I can eat a hot meal any time of the year, and I always enjoy starting my day with a nice warm bowl of oatmeal. I sometimes will have oatmeal two times a day. Whats great about oatmeal is there are many ways to prepare it. You can cook it over the stove (usually my go to), warm it up in the microwave, or make overnight oats and eat it cold or warm. It’s very easy to prepare and a very inexpensive breakfast.
Oatmeal is also very dense and is very filling. This will help you stay fuller longer and can potentially help you lose weight.
Oatmeal is a great way to start your day and kick-start your body with some fuel. Oatmeal is a great carbohydrate that lasts longer in your system to aid in longer energy time. It’s a complex carbohydrate, so its good for you and provides you that longer surge of energy.
Oatmeal has many health benefits. Like I said previously they are a complex carbohydrate, so a healthy carb. They are high in fiber, contains protein ( to keep you full), and loaded with vitamins and minerals. Oats are also full of antioxidants which can also help reduce blood pressure and cholesterol.
Importance of Breakfast:
Starting your day off with a nutritious breakfast is so important. This is key.
A donut, sugary granola bar, muffin, or even a bacon egg and cheese is not going to aid in your energy levels. These items will give you that surge of energy really fast, but then make you crash energy wise really fast as well.
Breakfast helps kick-start your metabolism, to one help you burn calories throughout the day, and two aid in energy.
Oats are Great for You:
Oats are very delicious, are very healthy and a great way to start your day. They are full of protein, fiber, and antioxidants to aid in your well being and overall health. Oats can aid in lowering your blood pressure, lowering your cholesterol, and aid in weight loss. Nothing says breakfast better than a bowl of fresh oats and fruit.
